Crocker Snow — Muskeget: Raw, Restless, Relentless Island
Learn about one man’s journey to comprehend our rapidly changing planet. Muskeget, a tiny island off Nantucket, was once a haven to the Snow family and has evolved into a microcosm of global environmental issues.

An award-winning journalist, Crocker Snow Jr., spent 50 years as a foreign correspondent and editor. His radio documentary, “Men Against Hitler” earned him an award and his reporting from Japan and Vietnam War earned nominations for the Pulitzer Prize. He was founding editor of The World Paper from 1979 to 2001, a monthly report of original news and analysis that appeared in seven languages in twenty-seven countries. From 2002 – 2014, Snow Jr. was the director of Tufts University’s Edward R. Murrow Center of Public Diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where he specialized in Middle East media and on the global impact of climate change and the warming Arctic.
