Hale Bradt: Gravitational Waves Explained

In laymen’s terms, Bradt tells the story behind the recent discovery of a pulse of gravitational radiation. These waves were predicted by Einstein 100 years ago via his General Theory of Relativity. Come learn about this amazing discovery’s implications for the future.

Hale Bradt, Professor of Physics, MIT, Emeritus, was a leading scientist in three NASA space astronomy missions during his career at MIT and has watched his MIT colleagues strive for the detection of gravitational-waves for the past 40 years. He has recently published a trilogy based on his father’s wartime experiences in World War II: Wilber’s War: An American Family’s Journey through World War II.
