Think Spring!
Fun for Families at the Athenaeum

While 2 feet of snow still blankets the garden, we will Think Spring! in the reading room with an energetic, interactive musical experience led by

Philip Alexander and the Family Singers.

Multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and popular local children’s entertainer Philip Alexander performs his zany original children’s music spiced up with some hilarious interactive stories. Children sing, dance and laugh with this delightful, crowd-pleasing show! Featured instruments include: guitar, harmonica, ukulele, djembe drum, handbells, ocarina, and boomwhackers.  Joining Philip for this show will be “The Family Singers” – Philip’s wife Joanna (vocalist and professional Music Therapist at Children’s Hospital Boston)  and daughter Sophia (member Boston Children’s Chorus Concert Choir)  who will add rich harmonies and dance moves.

The show begins at 10:30 and lasts for approximately one hour.

Everyone is welcome to participate; the program is ideal for families with children ages 2-10.

Please note that this program is in lieu of the traditional egg hunt.
