Salem’s Modern Philosophers

At our meeting on 8/15, we will discuss the trajectory of our group for the next 6 months. All meeting attendees should bring with them two philosophical ideas or topics they believe the group should discuss in 2026-2027, and an idea for one text or piece of media we can discuss as a group. So you have no reading homework for this meeting, but please come ready to brainstorm as philosophers so often do! 

In the past we have discussed the following topics including love, death, capitalism, data sovereignty, life after cars, life beyond humanity, and we eagerly invite conversations to build on these topics as a group.

This group of thinkers congregates to discuss relevant topics framed by texts, media, and experiences we agree on as a group.
