Elizabeth Gordon McKim discusses her book, Elizabetheridge: A Memoir in Poetry, Song, and Story with Previous Unpublished Poems by Etheridge Knight.

Known by many as the “Jazz Poet of Lynn,” McKim’s roots are firmly planted in the Oral Tradition of song, story, and poem. She will read and perform from her debut memoir of her years with poet Etheridge Knight; elizab ETH eridge  (KC Press).

She will also discuss how the book was made and entertain responses and questions from the free peoples gathered for this special event. Memoirist-poet Richard Hoffman called her book “A triumph” and poet Lamont B. Steptoe wrote of it, “Elizabeth Gordon McKim’s memoir of her time with Etheridge Knight is and should be one of the great literary love stories. Etheridge Knight was a storm at sea and Elizabeth Gordon McKim is the Ancient Mariner who survived to tell the tale.”
