Enjoy and evening of improv and support the arts at the Athenaeum’s Improv 101 Showcase!
Students who just completed the Improv 101—Say Yes! class with Regina Millis will present a showcase featuring their new skills. Share in a night of fun and foster creativity in the community.
Improv is a time-honored theatrical tradition with roots back to 391 B.C. Offstage, the form’s spontaneous nature is a proven tool in situations requiring creative solutions, the development of new communication skills, stress management, and more. On top of all that, it is just plain fun!
Regina Millis is a North Shore native with over 30 years of theater experience. In addition to writing stage plays, performing stand-up, and costuming, her credits include: Comic Improv at UUCGL Church Marblehead (ongoing); Director / Instructor of Theater Games @ YMCA Marblehead; Assistant Intern Director at King Richards Faire; Actor in Pirates of Pickering Wharf, Scurvy Dogs, Salem; and Production Designer / Actor with Stonehenge Productions, Boston.
