As sea levels rise and extreme weather events become more commonplace, we continue to seek ways to adapt and deal with our ever changing coastal community.
Salem’s Sustainability Engagement Coordinator, Stacy Kilb, will present information and action items for everyone in the community—young and old, owners and renters, and single or multi-family dwellers. As we go about our daily lives, we can all do things to make a difference!
▪ What are our communities already doing on a state/local level?
▪ What are practices that we can do in and around our homes to help?
▪ What local resources are available to people?
Stacy Kilb is excited to be part of Salem’s new Sustainability and Resiliency Department. Her passion is educating others and inspiring them to preserve the places they love. She was a Park Interpreter for the Department of Conservation and Recreation for several seasons. In her previous professional role as ALB Outreach Coordinator with the Mass. Dept. Of Agricultural Resources she occasionally had to dress up as a giant Asian Longhorned Beetle. She speaks fluent Spanish.
